The Vacancy
We are seeking to appoint an energetic, innovative and caring graduate to join a thriving Learning Support Department. You will be supporting SEND, with a variety of needs, on an academic and pastoral level, helping them to reach their potential and access their curriculum in a nurturing, high achieving school.
The Learning Support Department consists of 4 members of staff: Head of Learning Support, 2 Learning Support Teachers and an Academic Mentor specifically for students in examination years. The department plays a key role in the pastoral and academic life of the School. Students with SEND needs including dyslexia, autism, ADHD and dyspraxia may be given individualised support. The Department works closely with the broader teaching community, offering training and support in SEND issues, observing lessons and ensuring students are being supported across the curriculum.
